Anyone got it?

I have just got the trial and some really nice features! Although half I can't use because we don't have a GPU.

How extortionate for an upgrade as well! £160!? It would be cheaper for me to purchase the entire thing (as a student)

Does anybody know of a student upgrade package?

Cheers

I upgraded from 2.3 as I had lost the install discs.

I don't use every feature, but it has a few nice things, but not sure whether it would worth the upgrade from say 3.3?

It is a big step up from 2.3, but am not qualified to compare later versions.

If you have the trial, surely you would know whether it was worth it or not?

Have a look at http://www.student-software.co.uk, various CS4 packages available from £189, all you need is a valid student admission form.

I'm doing an OU Photography course thingy at the moment and picked up CS3 Extended for around £120 and Lightroom 2 for around £60 which I reckon is a bit of a bargain really.

If you do buy through them don't expect it tommorrow, took a couple of weeks for mine to come through

read the license though, once your no longer a student you have to buy the full package.

and if your not a student you are not licensed, so you would be paying to use ilegitemate software.

you get what you pay for and there is no such thing as cheap adobe/ms/etc software wink

Adobe provide both student and education versions. A student licence can be used after graduation, but not for commercial purposes and is not upgradeable. An education licence can be upgraded for commercial use after graduation. Take a look at www.studica.com - their prices are currently £130 for student version and £197 for educational version of CS4 Extended. Not bad compared to around £800 for a full price commercial use copy...

I think in the past there used to be a very bargain bucket version that you could only use whilst you are a student, but I can't see those listed anymore.

I'll be buying the student version of CS4 shortly as I'm starting to come up against the limitations of Elements 6.0 for what I need to my C&G course.

didn't know this was out yet. What are peoples opinions of the OSX version? I upgraded to CS3 straight away and wished I had waited, don't want to make the same mistake again!
