Photography meet in the North West?

Guys, I am (very) amateur photographer but I am desperate to learn more and develop some skills that will help me take the 'perfect' picture. Would anybody be interested in perhaps arranging a meet in the Manchester/Northwest area? I am open to suggestions as to what the subject should be.

There are one or two good photogs that post on the NW forum. I certainly have an interest but am definitely in the armature range, lol. Re-post in the NW forum and see what happens
