Recommendations for a compact digital camera please
Discussion
I've a birthday approaching and the OH has asked what I'd like. I've dropped a very heavy hint for a digital compact camera but have no idea what's currently available - I'd prefer to hear from end users rather than depend on reviews.
Budget is up to £200 (preferably closer to £150) and I'd like a camera is small enough to slip into a ahirt or jacket pocket and gives good enough results for magazine use (I edit a car club magazine).
I currently use a Canon DSLR for 'serious' work but sometimes it's too cumbersome to lug about when I'm out and about.
All suggestions welcome.

Mrs CVP and I have two
1) Panasonic TZ3
Good things - zoom range, effective image stabilisation, battery life, movie mode surprisingly good
Bad things - noisy images at higher ISO
2) Olympus 770 SW
Good things - waterproof enough to snorkel with, small enough to slip in a pocket and not notice
Bad things - Xd card format so new cards can be requried. Noisy at higher ISOs, very annoying delay between pressing the shutter button and the camera actualyl taking the image
Would defintiely recommend the Panasonic. Would really only recommend the Olympus if you are goign to subject it to all the great outdoors has to offer.
Also previously have had canon IXUS' and rated those very highly. They did everything we needed and took the knocks quite well
