A big thumbs up to photobox
Discussion
I've been using the peeps over at Photobox now for about 4 years or so, and since moving out to Germany last June the only thing I used them for was to print out pics for mum in normal 6x4 format from her summer holiday last year and then her birthday trip to the xmas Markets over here in the "fatherland" last December.
Of late there has been much said of their standards slipping as they grow in size and increase their product portfolio, but I neglected to take all the negativity into account and finally put together 2 photobooks, 1 from my Brothers wedding - made an official one at great expense at the time - but wanted a personal momento of it, and the 2nd book covering myself and Mrs Baz's tour of Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.
This was the first time I've ordered anything direct to Germany and with the books on special offer I knew there was a good chance of a longer wait for them to arrive.
Order was placed at the end of last week, confirmation of posting received on Saturday and yesterday both books were lying waiting on me as I returned home from work - top quality as always, so for anyone who has recently read reports of their standards dropping, I for one am here to stand on the soap box and tip the cap to them once again for top notch service.

My 2*A4 photobooks of our summer holiday arrived today. Excellent turn-round time (well within quoted times) and very good quality. Funnily, I'm a lot more pleased with these than I was with the couple of soft-cover square "stylebook" that I had done a few months ago.
The offers made the A4 books an attractive alternative to just printing 6x4s etc. (220ish pictures across 2 books of 30pages each for £24).

They have suceeded in utterly confusing me by having half their site in one place and the other half in the other. I find it incredibly unintuitive and difficult to use but luckily almost never need prints.
It used to be easy to use, but then they had to change it of course...
Service and results seem fine though.

I've been using Photobox for years now. Primarily because I used to use Picasa and it was brilliantly integrated into the application.
I also moved to Austria 3 years ago and postage was only an extra 50p so it really was a bargain.
However I bought some digital photography magazines when I was back in the UK this August and Photobox was rated the worst quality out of all the services tested. Even worse than Bonusprint apparently.
The colour reproduction was said to be extremely poor and the detailing was very bad also. It was however praised for it's service and value for money.
I can't remember the other services tested, but I'll scan and PDF the article so you can all read it. It was very interesting!
Either way however, I think Photobox is great for casual prints.

Ive had a few print done recently, great service cheap and on time delivery... however, ive found to have quite a large colour difference between a photo i sent to be processed in A4 in Lustre and Gloss... quite scary are the photos im getting back a true reflection of what ive taken. But overall great.
