Howdy folks, am looking to get a semi decent setup for recording some car footage.

I already own a decent sized ipod and would like to use that. So my questions thus :

- Is there any devices out there that will allow me to connect and record straight to the ipod?
- Which bullet camera would be good for use with this?
- Which microphone do i want to be getting aswell?

Not looking to spend huge amounts on the setup but i can stretch to a couple of hundred pounds, would prefer a good performing budget setup though.

Cheers,
Olie

Ah cheers.

No point going into the bullet cams and mics then, sure it's here elsewhere.

I bought a mount from these guys recently - have not gone the bullet cam - and HD recorder yet, but these guys seem to know their stuff.

Good idea to use the ipod to record to, but I've never seen anything on the market that would allow you to do that frown
Your main choices are solid state recording, (cards and harddrive camcorders) or dv tape camcorders.
I've got a dv camcorder setup.
One SONY DRC-HC90E dv in camcorder
1 bullet cam
1 microphone
1 powerlead
1 b-hauge camera mount
1 bullet camera mount
1 extension mount

Cost of that lot if bought new would be in the region of £800 ish. It's important that you get a camera with dv in, otherwise you can't use a bullet.
Lots of different vids on the site here:

mostly mine with a combination of video camera strapped to the car, or bullet cam strapped to the car smile
