Praise for the D300

Attended a friends wedding this weekend, and I can say for sure, that the D300 is one fantastic camera. I love it. It just works so well, with such good results. especially when hooked up to some nice glass. Wow. What a difference. I have to date been using the 18-70 kit lens that came with the D70, but hired the 17-50 and 70-200 2.8's. Stunning, so good. The pictures are just sharper and brighter and just more attractive. Only problem now is sorting the £2k to buy them.

On a different note, our Nikon users Mac users, and Canon folk PC users? Just seemed to be a trend that I've noticed.

Luckily I do Nikon DSLR, and Canon P&S

...so it's not as expensive as it looks!

(ETA.. though I took a D3 and a D2X with 3 lenses and a Canon P&S in my hand luggage to Gatwick with Easyjet on Saturday and I couldn't find ANY space for toothpaste or a shaver. The pics looked great, but I looked like a tink after a bad night).
