Up to now I have been happy doing my printing at home on my Epson. However, I have a couple of pictures I'd like to print out at A3 sort of size, and the dear old Epson I have will only do up to A4.

Can anyone recommend an online print service that can print A3 for me?

Thanks.

I use Photobox.com and have never been disappointed with a print from them yet.

Just had a look at Photobox. Is it me, or is that site painfully slow when uploading photos? Started uploading two that I want to print about 5 minutes ago, and I've still got the uploading page on my screen!

ETA Phew, it's just finished. 8 mins to upload 2 photos (each approx 8.5mb)

Upload speed is usually (I think) 256K regardless of your download speed. However for most purposes I'd say 2Mb files would be fine so it's time to wheel out Photoshop...

That's one reason why I don't upload wedding photos to the net (unless asked) - even batch resized to 2Mb it takes a whole day...

A3 prints from Photobox are however very good (though it is slow to upload).

Figured I wanted the best quality I can get, as the photos are of she who must be obeyed, so I uploaded the full sized image.

DC mag did a review of large printing (A3) colorworld imaging came as best buy, Loxley colour scored top marks but was more expensive.

Thanks for that. Have now orderd a couple of prints from Photobox so will see what they are like, and if I'm not happy I'll give those others a try.

Photobox seems to be the best of the big online printers, there are loads of more specialist ones who will undoubtedly do you a higher quality print, but at a cost.

I'm interested in A3 prints too so looked at both these sites. I don't think they could have made them more obtuse. I couldn't find A3 on either but for the clutter of unwanted obscure products and services and the need to log-on and download interface stuff. When will these clowns realise it puts punters off.

If you find Photobox slow to accept uploads, try uploading to Flickr, and then grabbing them using the Import from Flickr function on Photobox.

dscolourlabs.com and www.proamimaging.com genreally considered to be amongst the best

you have to prepare your files properly with a profile and teh correct size and ppi

but A3 prints are around 1 pound so VERY cost effective

dscolourlabs allows uploading as well

As far as I can remember, when Digital Photo did the same test last year, Loxley and Peak Imaging came out best.
