Hey everyone.

I am considering selling my second camera. The one that I have had most of my success with but im in fear that when i grow old i will regret selling it. I have a dilemma because its a choice between a hundred quid and memories. What should i do?

Cheers

IMO Only sell it if you need the money...

..but if you need the money, the sooner you sell it the better.

What IS your second camera?

Is it worth anything or is it at a value where there's not much point selling it. I have a redundant D80 body but probably would get certainly no more than £300 for it so I may as well hang on to it as a backup.

I still pack my 300D in the car for important shoots. I'd hate to find myself without a camera if the 5D failed for some reason.

My second camera is crap! Kodak P880. It is the cause of my picture sales and publishments so far though but i suppose the backup point is valid.

Digital cameras don't have the appeal of old film cameras (IMO) - so sell it whilst it's still current and you can actually get money for it. I'm coming to the end of my gap year and took my DSLR on my travels, very glad that I did as I got some photos that are great memories and that I'm proud of. Spend the money on the travelling - I think you'll get better memories from it!
