New Sigma 70-300 in the pipeline?

[mybrainhurts]

I was checking online prices for the Sigma 70-300 APO lens recently and came across one supplier who was taking pre orders for a new version.

Can't find it now. Does anyone know anything about the new lens...?

I haven't seen or heard anything but any new version is likely to have Sigma's Optical Stabiliser (OS) as they seem to have that sorted now.

There's an updated version for Nikon which comes with built in (non HSM? (USM)) motor with Nikons basic DSLRs without focus motors:

No, it's not that one...
