I have been looking into this camera (TZ5), and have decided to buy one, but I am wondering if it comes with a standard 1 year warranty?

Just one of the site's I have seen it on is offering a free 2 year warranty, but not sure it's worth the extra £12? rolleyes

Thanks

european law states all electronic goods bought as a end user from a retailer must come with a 3 year warranty.

just most of the UK seems to have turned a blind eye to it.

Yes I have, although I bought it in Hong Kong (where its called the TZ15) so no idea really what warranty I've actually got on it, think for me it was 1 year international.

Regardless of the warranty its a fantastic little camera with a great zoom on it. Way way exceeded my expectations. I bought it just to sling in a bag when I didn't want to take the dslr around with me. Thought it would get used a little, but I (or rather my wife) uses it all the time. I even got good results at 200mm zoom and 800 ISO at the O2 last night. As I say far exceeds what I thought it would do.
