A few shots whilst walking to the shops
Discussion
I really cant seem to leave the camera alone at the moment, over 8000 shots this year and counting
(Only about 33.5 decent ones
)
Anyway, a few ones from this morning, with a slight hangover!

The river esk (i think)

Just like the way the light creeps through the trees onto the pool of water

A bit of an overdone subject matter, like the fly on the tree, however I need the practice on my macro shots

Cheers

Some more good shots John!
Have you got a specific lens for macro shots...
I have a Sigma 70 - 300mm with macro capability but I can't get those results. I've also tried using magnifiers and the best in terms of close up I've got is:

Bit odd I know but here we go but how you are doing such sharp images of insects is a bit beyond me...
Cheers

Thanks for any pointers...
He has a very large pet fly called Bunty, who measures four feet tall at the shoulders and fetches things.
I use the MP-E65mm mostly for my macro stuff. You can get closer than the shot above, but shooting at 5:1 handheld is not so easy. The fly was at 3:1..
Anyway, John's shots, I do like the 3rd one, great atmosphere to it!
