Best Compact Camera?

[Neil_H]

Visiting the Motorshow on Sunday and I think I finally have an excuse to upgrade my now seriously-out-of-date Canon Ixus IV and it's massive 64mb card.

Can anyone recommend some nice compact digitals to consider, ideally under the £150 mark? I've heard the Panasonic Lumix series is highly rated? Must use SD cards as I have a few of those knocking around at home already.

Waaaaaayyyyyyyyy tooooooooo many choices out there, but from experience of wandering around carrying cameras, would mention that the 'tactile' feel of the camera is important, so just holding the camera in one hand @ the side of you waist is important, nice to know that it will not just slide out of your hand. Noticed that a lot of these modern point and shoot cameras have lovely flat surfaces to struggle with. Good luck.

Thanks chaps, was kind of hoping for a "yes, get the Panasonyfuji GB89729386, it's the best" but I've decided on the Lumix FX35 after a bit of reading.
