Any one used more than one flash with the D300?

i.e. using the 600 or 800 flashes?

Any tips would be welcome

Just picked up the D300 yesterday.
Cheers

Only studio flashes.
My advice would be to use the M setting and use a light meter. Then keep a stop or two between them.
Before I type advice up, what are you photographing and what are you aiming for?

I've used the SB800 off camera and have played with the SB800 and my Sigma EF500 Super off camera as well using the D300 in built flash to trigger them.

I'd recommend you to the excellent Strobist group on flickr for more in depth advice.

I believe the D300 can control two groups of flash units, or in your case one flash in each group.

You need to set the D300 into "commander mode" (custom settings->builtin flash mode or something like that!) at which point you'll be able to adjust the effect of two different groups. THen need to set the guns to work remotely. Don't forget to set it all back when finished!
