Recently crashed bi-plane in Krems, Austria
Discussion
I just wanted to share this photo with you all. I was out flying with a friend of mine and we landed at a small airfield in a place called Krems in Austria. As we came to land, I noticed a crashed plane just off the airfield.
A little investigating after we landed revealed it was the sky diving clubs plane. The engine had cut out on landing and the starboard wing clipped the top of a tree as it came crashing down.
Fortunately nobody was killed or seriously injured and it made an interesting place to explore.

Just as a side note, I tried to PS the red and white ribbon tape out of the way but the result was crap. As you could also tell, I've done a little Lightroom work. I'm just getting to grips with this program, but any input and helpe would be brilliant!
Thanks.

How about this

The plane itself is Russian. It's the largest single engined type of its kind in the world, made for rough landings - obviously not designed to hit trees though!
Hey Bernie. Good effort. There's a little ribbon remaining on the left, but it's not half bad! Cheers!

I should really post the original up. Unfortunately I'm still working with a crappy 18-55mm kit lens as I don't get my lovely new 17-40mm f/4L until the end of this month as I'm waiting for my boss to return from the US with it.
