June Photo Competition Winners
Discussion
Well its results time, and boy have you made it difficult for me. First of all thanks for all of the fantastic entries and all of the chit chat,I thought for a while with the thread not being stickied that that would have killed it but far from it. Its also nice to see shots from people who haven't entered before.
I've taken a leaf out of nick_bbb's book and copied all of the shots to my laptop and stuck them in picassa and slowly eliminated shots until I was left with 14 !!! So I came to the bar (overlooking the north pacific in Tofino) grabbed a bottle of Kettle Valley 2007 Pinot Gris (highly recommended) to wittle it down some more.
So the results, but first some mentions, baz7125 - the shot of the war cemetary, this is a poignant reminder of todays man made landscape and the symmetry in the photo is great, john185k - this is great - conjures up loads of atmosphere and stigmundfread - great image that draws you into the scene, all great shots and made to the final 6.
But the winners are:
Third place: CVP and your shot of the Brooklyn Bridge, loved the colour and symmetry of this
Second place: AndyKH skyscaper shot, again loved the colour, reflections and the angle of this - I could see this on the walls of a trendy downtown bar
And in first place......
AndWhy's shot of a terrace of houses, loved the slow exposure and the wide angle, the colour, and the fact its almost hopperesque.

So AndWhy, very well done and over to you now
