advice needed update
Discussion
Following on from my other thread , i have followed some of the advice and unfortunatly heart ruled head and i ended up ignoring one bit .
I ended up with D3,14-24 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8 and a SB800 Flash, there go's any chance of a new car this year !
Had a quick play with it last night down at Brighton with the family and given i have not even read the hand book i'm extreemly pleased with the results .

Blimey. Good work that man.
When you get a decent shot (doesn't have to be arty), maybe you'd post a link to it (straight out of the camera) so we can have a good old snoop at the edges at 1:1, detail, contrast etc. If you need somewhere to host it (without nasty squashing that most sites do) e mail it to me and I'll put it on my space.

That goes for any of the other D3 owners out there - I'm still waiting for news about the D3X - can't make my mind up

As i think i said in my other post , i'v sold the Porker and i'm not in the position to buy a gt3 as i had hoped to.
More a case of seen the market being stagnent at the moment , so i've bought a t5 estate to use a daily driver. so when i do get round hopefully to buy something nice next year it would have to be used for my routine trips.
This has ment i had the cash to go for it , first time i'v ever been in the position where i could actualy buy what i wanted rather than cutting corners and making do and gettign second best , quite a good feeling !
Can someone explain how you guy's post the photos , is there a way of making sure no one uses them else where, or don't you wory about that.

Some worry, most of us don't.
If you resize to 750 pixels wide and squash, it'll only ever be any good for web anyway.
Basically you have to save to a site on the web and then link from here. If you click on 'quote' above this post, you'll see that way I've done it.

Why did you have to go and post that pic, it's identical to what i have just sold , yours ?
Sorry to seem a bit dim , can you explain what you mean by 750 etc?
Anyway i'm just off to sort through yeasterdays to see if there are any worth sending to you . most are family type pic's.

It was mine, now sold (like yours).
You really need to have a programme like Gimp or Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop to re-size the photos before you upload to a free site like Flickr
(or any other free space - most ISP's give you some)
If you post photos at 1:1 size, they take forever to load and people without broadband turn red with anger (rightly).

Funny you mention that spent 20 min this evening trying to take photos of my 10 week old ridgeback puppy !
Gave up in the end, she was just to quick for me !We were tyring to get some shots of here running towards us but no way would she run in the same direction twice.
Did manage one thought , about 10 min ago when she was fast asleap !

I don't see a problem with that? Two of my favourite books are William Wegman, books made up entirely of photos of his dogs. The equipment used probably dwarfs the costs involved here, but the results speak for themselves.
Throughly agree - Wegmans dogs are out of this world. Keith, check out www.wegmanworld.com for a bit of inspiration for your hound!!CivicMan said:

Mr Carter's pooch is also the subject of some very nice dog shots - no doubt he'll be along with a link soon!Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
