Question about charging for pictures.
Discussion
Last week i decided to send some of my pictures away to magazines etc to see if they could tell me ig they were good enough quality to be considered for publishing or anything. One of those people was the publishers of the Isle of Man TT Official programme, they asked if i could send them a cd with full resolution pictures and what kind of price id be looking for per shot if they were to use them.
I've never charged for my photos so have no idea what i can ask for, I emailed him back asking what the circulation was but he hasnt got back to me yet. Basically the programme is a high quality glossy magazine that cost £10 (dont know if that would make a difference to the rates).
I dont want to charge too much but dont want to give them away for nothing either. I looked up a couple of websites that give prices but was wondering if anyone had any experience and could help give me a rough figure. I dont know what sizes they would be if they were to use them (still pretty much a year to go till the TT so a lot could happen but they asked for a price so i better give them one) them so am going to try and give a list of prices for different sizes.
Thanks
Alan
