Canon now have a £50 cashback http://www.canon.co.uk/eos450dcashback/

There are rumours that Canon will be pushing prices up by 9% on the 1st July (on what evidence I dunno).
Including a 2.5% discount code from Hotukdeals.com and 2% Quidco, this will hopefully (when the cashback arrives) have got me a 450D + IS Kit lens for £380.

I'm very interested in this.

The Canon site says: "This promotion is only available on purchases of the Canon EOS 450D (any configuration) in the UK or the Republic of Ireland from participating retailers."

Any idea which retailers are likely to participate?

Jessops have the cash back listed on their website for the camera. Bringng the cost down to £449.99.

Well, it arrived from Empire Direct just before 11am today (Friday) and with a 2.5% discount, it came to £438.74 before p&p but excluding cash back. Unfortunately I only have a 128MB SD card to play with at the moment, so that is limiting things a bit until 8GB of Class 6 SDHC goodness arrives from Amazon/Pixmania (just over £17 so how good it will be is anyones guess).

It is a genuine UK item, not one sourced from the EU/Internationally, so I still have my fingers crossed for the cash back.

I bought a EOS400D from Empire Direct and had no problem obtaining the cash back from Canon - in fact they sent me a £50 cheque twice!
