Erm,

I seem to have lost my CD for my 350D. I wanted to install the software to control the camera from the PC.

1 does this feature exists??

2. I have tried downloading from Canon, but does not work as i do not have the orignal install.

Wanted to do some Astro Photography this weekend but my remote is bust (new one on order) and wanted to put some pics up but they have to much camera shake to make anything out.

You'll have to beg for a copy of the CD or find your own, all canons software (apart from drivers) is upgrade only.

Also try using the custom function mirror lockup in combination with the timer mode, you get a 2 second MLU shot that way, no need for the cable.

I can upload an ISO image of the original 350D CD if you like. Or the one that comes with the 40D, whichever you prefer. Let me know and I'll do it tonight.

Brilliant tip - cheers.

My 400D came without software and this sorted it.

tip - (as I said above) stick MLU on in the custom functions and set drive to timed and you get a 2 second timed shot with MLU, no shake!!
