I really do believe photoshop can rescue poor photos, but in this case extract the potential in a shot to something, that in my oppinion looks alot better.

This is a photo of my good mate Nik that a friend of his took. He sent me it over saying he wants a better photo taking, but as he hasn't pulled his finger out and finished off his track, I haven't been able to go over my self yet.

However I thought I would have a quick play.

Let me know what you think, I think its improved the overall outcome alot more.

yeah like the crop and rider detail, but the ground is a bit, well, odd biggrin.

if you were to mask the sky and then create a multiply layer from a copy of the sky you'll bring detail back in there by about 1 stop

I'm also of the opinion that if you're going to saturate a photo, just do it on the area you need to, not everywhere. The grass looks like it came out of a lego factory smile Loving the pic.

The bike doesn't look so good now, but it all looks a little more natural. Tried using a layer mask. Used this site for photoshop resources if anyone is interested: http://www.good-tutorials.com

Much improved over the original and the grass looks much more natural than in the first edit.
