Hi all, not sure about you lot but the more I read photography magazines the more I realise that its just the same old recycled stuff over and over again - maybe it's just the ones I read (Digital Photographer and Digital Camera), but there doesn't seem to be too much new in them and nothing really inspiring. Plus the contributions seem to be less and less, with more space being taken up by advertising.

Anyway stumbled across JPG (perhaps this is old news) which I'd never heard of before - an American magazine published bi-monthly. It has a website here http://www.jpgmag.com. I picked up a couple copies at the weekend and I have say its totally refreshing, a total 12 pages of adverts in all 112 pages, and pages and pages of photographs, and quite inpiring ones at that too. As far as I can tell 90% of the shots are from contributions around 3 or 4 main themes and the shots that get published are voted for by the subscribers (or at least I think thats how it works).

Anyway if you haven't come across it, its definately worth a look.

I must admit i buy the odd mag, but only when im stuck at the station for something to read. Forums are cheaper then the mags, bigger range of types of shooting and styles and i learn more from them. No brainer for me..
