Photo of the Week Idea

Hi,

As the photo of the week is becomming a regular feature, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a common place that people can put forward pictures that they took that week for the picture of the week. Would this work?

Why not have a thread so that there is more variety in the pictures and then people that would not usually win say a themed monthly competition will be able to enter a pictue of a car for picture of the week...

Does this make sense?

IT would be hard to keep running? Maybe we change the rules of the monthly comp to only permit shots taken in the month?

or we could just have a sticky where people post up a link to their best photo in wallpaper size and the PH guys decide which to use at the end of the week.

Well the forum is up to seven stickies already so I think some thinning out would be needed somewhere. Also, if you extended the concept from one subject, cars, to the millions that exist, you'd get much more interest I think. But again, you're running into the existing set-up. Perhaps change the monthly competition to weekly instead?
