Friday IS a good day

After months of haggling, problems and goodness knows how many other problems, I finally picked up my brand spanking new Canon EOS 40D camera today!

For now however, I'll have to use an 18-55mm standard Canon kit lens so I won't be able to have full use of the camera just yet, however with the ol' November bonus, I'll be picking up a lovely 17-55mm f/2.8 lens to go with the body. It'll be a long painful wait, but I can't wait.....

In the meantime, I've got two lenses to play with as well as my 430EX speedlite so it's going to be a fun weekend!

One other thing....I bought the camera in Austria where I live and my German is pretty crap to say the least. Does anyone know if it's possible to order a 40D manual in English from Canon????

I think you can get the manual online, but I'd much rather have the mini manual booklet you get usually in the box.

Ta muchly for the manual! Just need to see if I can get my hands on a paper copy!!!

Unfortunately I'm sat at work right now and have left my CF card at home so all I can do is play around with the settings. I can't wait to start snapping photos!!!
