And really pleased with the results or rather the qualities of slide though out of a roll of 24 the resultant images were all a bit of a let down. I had been to Borough market and was just shooting from the hip with my 50 set to f1.8, results were a little on the disappointing side.

Got some nice results for my Swindon project at the end of the film but from London this one was probably the only one I was fairly happy with.

and after a slight bit of processing, not too sure about it

The film was Fuji Sensia slide and I'm certainly going to use it more often as it does capture colour really nicely, if you expose correctly which after using digital and trying back at the old stuff is a bit of a challenge!

This was from Swindon and processed into BW which I know defeats the idea of using colour slide in the first place...

Its exciting waiting for the film, especially as I didnt bother getting it developed for 3 months then it disappeared until today so I'm def going to go back out with slide in the future, if you have an old film body, give it a try!

Try Provia and Kodak Elite Chrome Gold as well, they all have subtly different results. I did enjoy using it but I burned through so much that it was becoming silly expensive. Particularly since I was getting it scanned to TIFF by the lab too.

Good fun with an 85mm f/1.2 though biggrin

Results of a 2 month dalliance or so : http://www.flickr.com/photos/flyingbadger/sets/721...

Favourite one that I converted to B&W :

Can be lovely for sunsets too

remember seening the first one FG and agree the BW really worked well. I said I used Sensia but that might be a lie, I was too lazy to check the box in the bag last night so will have another loook but yes going to give it a whirl now.

Got a willing victim to come to the studio tomorrow so will try and fire off some remaining slide then. The major drawback with this stuff is the waiting and preying the film doesn't get lost!

ETA the first of your two could almost have been a Bill Brandt, very similar look to a lot of his northern work

Cheers, I appreciate that sentiment smile

It is an entirely diffent process though, as you mentioned. It's gratifying to get 20% keepers back from 3 rolls though, purely because you realise you have to take your time. Wish I could have taken the A1 with me, but needs must and all that

pity you were disappointed with the Borough Market ones - I was looking forward to seeing them. I'll just have to make sure I do take my camera in to the office next time I go in so that I can take some around the area instead!
