As part of my own mini project of photographing Swindon, yesterday we went up to Barbury Castle.

I have to say, Swindon is a lucky place considering its size it is right on the door step of some special places!!!

coming from you thats something \i take as a real compliment as I really enjoy the car/model shots, something I'd like to do but no idea how to get into!

The new york street shot you've entered in this months comp, which lens are you using?

I think these are really good. I especially like the first akers way one.

Are you into fishing, or is it just a photo of someone who is?

edit - by the way, judging by the first four you've got a tasty dust spot on your sensor!

nah not into fishing - but its nice to see lads of all ages going down there rather than smoking crack.

Where is the dust spot? My screen is covered in filth and I cannot make it out.

ETA bks I just found it mad still it beats the oil streaks I was suffering from biggrin

Seriously pleased you like it! I went through a phase of really over processing (some might say I still do!) but this is the look I've settled with - sometimes direct from cam, other times a bit of curve and colour balance adjustment.

The kit I used on the shots is pretty constnatly the 17-40L but the shots at Barbury I also used an ND grad, I'd expose for the sky then +2 ev and recompose so the ground came in exposed letting the grad (a 2ev grad) work on the sky.
