Hi everyone. As per title, I am new to digital phototgraphy and would like to read your comments. What's wrong, what's OK and generally all observation you can make.

I had 2 weeks to play with my new toy (400D), took 100s of shots but very few I am actually happy with, I am sure I can get a lot more out of the camera.

So anyway, 4 pics for you to unleash on, please be kind.

I take it your from Rugby then.. trying to think who's got a Combine that big that i know of??

I like your last two shots, i like the angle of the Black and white shot, up high normally works well.

Thanks Goldeeno, will try these.

Actually, that pic was taken from the top of a baler....the combine is even higher to be honest.

And yes I live in Rugby.

Trying to be constructive... I take hundreds of pics too before I get a couple I like.

The first pic is out of focus but this is a very tricky subject. You need a very fast shutter speed and a lens with image stabilization would help.

I like the second one but the background distracts a bit from the subject.

The left shadow on the third is cropped out.

The fourth suffers from the same as the second. There's stuff in the background that can't be cropped easily and is half in/half out.

Hope this helps.
