I'm off to Cadwell Park on Saturday to watch the first round of the BRSCC. But I've never been to Cadwell before and I would like to know which corner is the best to park myself for taking pictures, obvioulsly i want no, or as little catch fencing as possible in my view.

if you can get into the stand then you can get pretty good pictures of the cars coming up/over the Mountain. You can also go round the circuit and get good shots of Gooseneck or further round through the narrow Hall Bends. All within pretty quick walking distance of each other. I've only photographed there when I've been taking part in a track day myself so haven't wandered over the other side of the circuit so there may well be good places there too. Favourite circuit to drive at though smile

I've only photographed during track days, too. I never found fence height to be an issue at Cadwell. From Gooseneck you climb above the circuit toward Mansfield and it dips back down again toward the mountain Grandstand. The fence is low and you can easily shoot through it but you are a quite high above the circuit, shooting down on the action. The Grandstand is good, again no fence to get in the way here, you get good shots of the left hander and right hander up the mountain.

In front of the clubhouse you get shots of the straight. Hall bends are good, low fence again, incidents happen here during track days so I can imagine they happen during races too. When I've been I could get down as far as the hairpin but could not get any further round the outside of the track to 'Barn'. That is the only stretch of Cadwell I have photographed.

GL and have fun.
