Silverstone FIA GT

My trusty D40 and i are off to the FIA GT for 3 days complete with press passes and pit access etc.
Ive taken many photo's before but thought id call on the PH massive for any advice as ive never had an opertunity like this before and i want to look on it as a photo assignment for the weekend, hopefully getting some good shots for future use, some may be used in a magazine feature as the guy im going with is writing an article as well-we are going with a corvette team, any advice would be welcome from more seasoned pro's and good amateurs alike- for kit i have a D40 with 18-55mm, sigma 55-200, D600 speedlight and UV/Polarising filters for both lenses, hopefully ill be there for the three days and have lots of memory and 2 batteries so plenty of time to try out different techniques and settings
