Firstly a big thanks for your entries this month. Whilst I would have liked to have kept it to the original idea, I think this one has worked out well with some really nice entries though I'm surprised at the low number that made it into the entries thread.

Before I give you the podiums I wanted to comment on a few shots:

Firstly the artists name, class, school boy humour at its best! But the shot, really really well done and whilst it is of a really good stock photo quality its just that. Great work and reading the description of how it was done was good!

Mr Fish, great colour on that one

This for me was a strong contender for the winning picture. I loved the colour and the texture in it:

The shot you entered had lovely vibrant colours missdiane but that was the one for me.

Now for the results:

3rd place

A great take on the Pulp Fiction theme, Bramley's shot in the fridge was really imaginative and nicely done.

2nd place

Paul911's Spaghetti, lots of texture and colour. Full of energy its really nicely done. This along with the coffee beans was a contender for 1st place.

But here it is, 1st place....

Rhubarb's street kitchen. Lovely colour and action, nicely taken and its a great documentary or enviroment shot too. The fuzzy head of the bloke in the background does, for me, ever so let it down but over all this image had the most impact for me. Nice one Rhubarb

To the other finalists thank you for entering.

Michael

Congrats Rhubarb, tis a great shot, tough call against that spaghetti, that's great too. Thanks for the mention stigmund smile

ETA: Isn't it funny how every member of this forum has access to at least one kitchen, yet there weren't that many entries this month??

Well done Rhubarb! thumbup

The shot in the fridge was refreshing, an excellent idea, and I particularly liked the spaghetti shot too, with regards to composition/lighting/warmth it was an absolute cracker, as was the coffee beans shot!

Interesting. It was by following a thread on the development of "burger shots" a year or two back, that I got interested in "micro-stock" photography. I think Buster used to post as "UK Bob" then. Anyway, I started submitting stuff myself, and last month my sales passed 2000.

OK, sales are typically in the range £0.25 to $25.00, but these have represented my first ever payments for photography. Definitely a winner for me. Thanks Bob!

Erm, blimey, erm not sure what to say but thanks, bit gobsmacked really, didn't really think mine would get a mention let alone win. Definitely thought the spaghetti would win. But thanks very much for the comments.
