new compact camera for the mother!
Discussion
My mum is going on holiday soon, and has decided to move up away from her retro looking Olympus 35mm camera (still with manual focus!) to a compact digital.
The question is, what should I get?
The budget is about £100, no other requirements other than has to be easy to use for someone who has never used a digital before. As she won't be editing the photo's in photoshop, it needs to produce fairly good photos straight off, especially of her new grand-son (I'm chuffed, our first ... now just a day old!).
As an ex powershot user, now an Ixus 70 is my compact choice. Are the powershots still any good? The A470 is 7m/pixels for about the budget, the A460, is 5m for less.
Any thoughts?

Loads of good reviews and recommended as 'best buy' on various reviews. It has just been replaced by a newer version but the newer one only has a couple of extra features which apprantly aren't worth it.
