Scanning Slides
Discussion
Bit of a tricky one this. Looking to scan approx 1200 slides. The problem is all the slides are numbered and annotated and sorted into sets. I have talked to a couple of commercial outfits and they dont seem to be set up to be able number the images the same as the slides. So it would be a question of going through all the images and matching them back to the slides. Judging by the cost of scanning the slides (25p each is the cheapest I have found) its probably going to be cheaper to buy a dedicated slide scanner and sell it on ebay afterwards. Something like this would seem to fit the bill but I dont know anything about slide scanning. Most of the slides are from the mid 1960's to early 70's and are either Kodak or Ilford. Most of the sets contain black and white and colour slides. Any suggestions as to the best way of doing this?
