Set off today to gain experience in Motorsport photograpy as i have nver really done it before, any motion photography infact... So it was a bit of a learning experience. i was a bit hampered with the fact that i only had the kit 18-55mm lens with me also - because, well, thats all i have!!

Some came out ok, nothing dramatic - but learning takes time u suppose! A few 'arty' ones too. smile

P.s. No way would i ever take my car on an open track day at knockhill!

And one on the way home beside the circuit..

Was there from about 10.30 till near 2. I never noticed your car either - i had the wifes fabia VRS but was on the move quite a bit. Your photos look fantastic - really need to invest in a zoom lens!

For a first attempt at panning, you've done not to bad. The secret with panning is just get out there and experiment with shutters speeds. The rest of the shots are nice to.

looking at these again, you have captured some great details John. I like this one especially lick

Great work! You have inspired me to spend more time in the pits rather than trackside all the time.

Thanks guys. The pits always have something interesting to capture - however i think it was because i was getting frustrated not being able to capture much of the track action.

Really pleased with the landscape also. like the colours especially.
