Spean Bridge/Laggan area this weekend.

Turns out "Let's go for a walk" actually means "let's climb that bloody great mountain"

What a lovely place, where exactly?

All great, but 1 & 3 best for me! 1's might benefit from a grad filter, just to cut down on the minor highligh top left, and 3's mood is terrific!

Spean Bridge is about 10 miles north of Fort William and 20 south of Fort Augustus on the A82.

how accessible are these areas? I used to walk lots but have a bad foot/ankle now - is it fairly remote and challenging?

Nice shots btw

Very accessible - in the bottom pic up there, you can just make out the Hostel in the middle. The road running above it is the A82. I'm a fat, unfit, lager swilling duffer and managed to get up the hills. Just biggrin

Yup - perfectly adequate as long as you're ok with dorm sleeping arrangements (although there was one room with just the one bunkbed, which I nabbed on arrival and no one took the top one, so I had a room to myself biggrin). There were about 30 of us so we had booked the place exclusively. 15 quid for Friday - Sunday. Plenty of parking, warm, drying room, big kitchen (pots, pans, crockery & cutlery available) etc. It's the second time I've done it and, for a big group of you, it's ideal.

Cheers FG, I've always wanted to do real wide open countryside shots

Its verging on you needing a diet and me asking for your phone number! But back to the shots I am definitely going to try and crack the highlands or the Pennines this year!

I said you were as old as me and he said I'm fat and he wants my phone number. I think it's just one of those threads.

BTW Martin... all healed?

I was saying that sounded as if he was my missus. Of course the thread should be re-railed now
