Great shots smilesmile

This b+w shot really does it for me, i'm not normally a huge fan of b+w landscapes but this is great biggrin

Have you burned the top corners a bit in post ? Those dark patches seem to really 'settle' the image smile

Btw, what kit are you shooting with ?

Cheers.

Lovely stuff, mate smile

By the way, what time of year would you suggest as being the best to visit NZ? Not specifically to ski, or hit the northern beaches, but just overall.

Nope, thats just the natural light, the cokin 'P' + CPL/ND Grad and 10mm vignetting.

"Btw, what kit are you shooting with ?"

350d , most shot with a sigma 10-20 & cokin filters.

Best settled weather is Feb - March. Skiing is June to October tho usualy its better later on, say september. North island is more settled than the south, down here we can get rapid changes in weather, summer at 3 degrees due to a big southerly or winter at 20degrees due to a norwester. Winter can be very nice here especialy for the photographer. Skiing is cheap and easy on the south island, Ruhapehu on the north I've not been to but think it has bigger runs etc. If you come for the skiing its a gamble on the weather and the snow but isnt it always..biggrin

Cheers for the comments all...

Well, yer, I know technically there isn't. But there's lots of other countries in the way if I hang a left. So I wouldn't get to NZ until later in the year.

Which might be a good thing.
