Ok then

Just converting some shots, from Canon Raw using Photoshop CS3, Previewing all the images with the windows powertoy Raw Viewer

now, on sticking it into the raw converter in CS3, the image looks totally different, the colour itself is miles apart and I actually can't get the same colours tweaking the raw converter?

I've uploaded a screenshot, whats going on here?

I've seen this problem before. I wasn't sure if it was different colour profiles being used by the different viewing programs.

Can't off the top of my head help. When you print it out, what colour does it match? I think it's all down to profiles..

Nice picture anyway smile

Do you have any in camera Saturation / Contrast (etc) settings applied?

At a guess i'd say 1 programme is applying the settings to the image and the other isn't.

Spot on, I think

I was ready to reply, saying there were no settings on, then I've just had a play in the menu and found a section labelled "Parameters" it appears to be on "paramter 1" which, when opened up, has 4 bars, Contrast, Sharpness, Saturation and Color (Grrrr) tone

anyway, the first thre are tweaked up one bar, I didn't know of this menus existence so it has to of been like it the whole time I have had the camera, Only noticing it now as it is so distinctive

Ok, now the mystery is over, I can't seem to get the CS3 version to look like the rawviewer preview (looks a little over saturated, but i like the colour)
