Compact digital

[woogie]

Hi Guys,

anyone any thoughts on a compact digital camera, I hear Canon IXUS is good, I also like the Lumix as it has the leica lens. Looking to spend 100-150 quid . I have a digital slr but I just want a small compact slr for nights out in pocket and good quality snaps. Any of these good?

cheers

I just bought a Ricoh Capilo R6 for the missus for £145 - looks excellent. Couldn't see the justification in going for the newer R7 and there have been some strong recommendations for the Ricoh stuff on here recently (e.g. from Get Carter who strikes me as someone definitely worth listening to!)

bought this in end, good reviews so happy

Talking of compacts.

Canon - IXUS vs. Powershot.

Is the Powershot the camera with more features but the IXUS is the smaller 'compact' camera....or am I missing something?

Basicly, if the Powershot range is small enough, compact if you will, is it the one to go for?
