free Quicktime Video editing software

[MoleVision]

Does anyone know of a piece of free downloadable software that will let me edit quickime videos?
Does not have to be complicated, all I want to do it cut out sections and combine clips from differnet videos but i cant seem to find anyting that support quicktime format.
After downlaoding about half a dozen only 1 would do it but that left a "watermark" (HUGE BOLD LETTERS OBSCURING MOST OF THE SCREEN) on the finished video which annoyed me as i'd spent a while making the video.

Thanks.

Are these .mov files? If you want something fairly basic, but without limitations, use the "Windows Movie Maker" that comes as std on WIndows XP (and probably Vista). Works well, is simple to use but fairly basic. I THINK it can handle .movs.

Can QuickTime itself not do this? Or is it only QuickTime Pro? I have Pro so I'm never sure which features are disabled in the standard version. Are you Windows or Mac?

OS is win xp... i've tried windows movie maker but it cant open them.

Yeh .MOV files.

I dont have quicktime pro and the basic one cant edit as far as im aware.

I hate quicktime and all apple software now with a passion.. WHY does it have to be so difficult, quicktime tries to take over my computer by setting itself as the default player for everything, itunes started downloading all sorts of crap that i dont need so itunes has now been removed so quicktime is now telling me about this update called itunes. ARRGHHH.
