Hmm, dont know how, cant seem to clean it but have a fair few dots of dirt on the mirror inside the D70s.

I have tried a puffer brush which removes/ moves it around and when i get it as good as im going to then take some a pics, the dirt comes back/flies around inside.

Can a camera shop clean the mirror/inside to a good standard or should I keep going at it?

Rather than puffing the dirt around have you tried an Arctic Butterfly? Not cheap but it was the only thing that cleaned the dust from my 20D's sensor etc. I think the charge helped to "grab" the invading particles,

took it into my Nikon dealer, who tried to sort it out but, for the first time ever he has said he cant do it.

I think he said it was a bit of dust on the sensor behind a filter or on the reverse side of the sensor which they cannot access.

They can clean the top of the sensor but not the other side in this case, so its got to go back to Nikon. Bum.

They may be able to get something done under a warranty/goodwill otherwise it about £100 to fix.

Anyone had experience of this? Is it a manufacuring defect?
