Allo, Hope everybody is well.
Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on why when recording through the dog-cam (bullet cam) and mic I only get sound out of one speaker?
Am I missing something when streaming the tape to the pc or do I need some 3rd party software to change it to both?
Thanks for any help.

Sounds like its a mono mic.
If you have Adobe premiere, when you drop the movie file onto the timeline it splits the video and audio for you, you then copy & paste the audio file onto the other channel (you might have to right click on the audio file and look thru the options if its only showing one channel).
I presume other vid editing s/w is similar...

What sort of connections do you have from the camera and into your recording device?

Silly question, but both outputs (I'm assuming red and white RCA connections) from the mic are connected to your recording device?

I've been using MS movie make, what you said makes perfect sense so I'll have a good look to see if I can copy the sound into the right channel.
Thanks

The cam sits in a docking station, the dog cam & mic all plug into that. Its only a single phono on the mic, then another for video.
Thanks

You'll need 2 phono connectors, 1 red and 1 white for stereo

I run the single audio output from my bullet cam mic into a splitter then use a stereo phono-minijack lead to get two channel (although split mono) sound on my recordings.

Like this:

[mic]---------<================-[digicam]

If you see what I mean

Allows for a longer cable too which is a bonus.

Thanks Matt but the cable which plugs into the camera's docking station is mono only.
Think Ill try to download the Adobe video software where I can copy the sound into the second channel.
Thanks for all your help and sorry for my late reply.

What sort of jack does the video camera accept? Is it a headphone style minijack?

All the sound and video connections are phono's, they all link into one connector which plugs into the cam's docking station.
Thanks
