Just thought I'd post a link to the trip I did through Europe in a £100 Omega last September.

Much fun was had! For the record, I'm Batman!

It's about 8 min's long, but keep watching there's some nice scenery and a water pistol fight towards the end!!

Anyone else done a trip like this?

I love the bit where the policewoman directs the convertable into the clutches of the waiting Super-soakers.rofl

I can't promote them enough!! Granted, it's a bit of a motorised European pub crawl, but I had the time of my life!! It took me a week to get over it.

Yeah, that makes me laugh every time I watch it. Thing is, it wasn't a convertible, they just cut the roof off it!! On the last day, it must've been like a mobile swimming pool cos' the rain was torrential for about three hours!!

The BatOmegaBile is still alive and kicking. I gave it to another team who's Sierra became rather bent to drive back. (We flew back!). It came back after doing 10:42 round the Nurburgring and is treated to monthly thrashings at Knockhill!!

Great!!

I did Sudbury to Monaco in a FREE Ford Escort Diesel 1988! It was great fun. Apart from when it spat out all its coolant at the highest point in the Alps! Still, at least the view was nice as we flagged down cars and begged for water!

I'm on the H2R this year. Running in tandem with the S2N so the last night will be even more messy but in a new town this time.

Shame, I really like Castel Volturno - it was a really lovely place yikeshehe

Is brilliant fun, " a motorised european pub crawl" is an excellent way of putting it, but i would also add " more expensive than you would think"

We are signed up for CzeckWrecks this year, i'm really looking forward to driving the alps, should be amazing as ever...can't wait.

I am so jealous of you lot!!

I can't do one this year due to personal commitments, but I'd love to. Fancied H2R this year myself.

We'll see what next year brings.

You're right though! It is a lot more expensive than you think. (But then last year we weren't watching the pennies. might be different next time round!!)

Just had a look at your vid's and pic's Mike.

Incredible what you can pick up for £100 notes isn't it? On S2N there were two Merc 400's. I was really impressed by the Carlton limo on H2R. I recognise the sandy Cavalier. It was on S2N under a differnet guise.
