Beginners Photoshop question

I've had a look on the Photoshop help and on some online tutorials and searched here but can't find the answer to this probably extremely simple question...

How do I convert the Photoshop image to jpg?

I only got photoshop yesterday and am already quite chuffed with my first attempt. I might post it here to see what you think if I can convert it.

When you go to "save as" there is an option near the bottom of the dialogue box that shows you the file type that you can save the file as. Select jpg in there and Bob's yer uncle.

Although in the unlikely case that it is in 16bit you will have to convert it to 8bit first as you cant save to jpg in 16bit mode.

also might need to make sure it is RGB as oppossed to CMYK

go to IMAGE then MODE to change this

Cheers guy's, managed to get it done. Here's the before and after pic, it's a bit chavy but im well chuffed with the result and i'm just learning the basics at the mo. I want to use it mainly for enhancing photographs rather then bazing up cars though.

trying out mods to cars its a great tool, the tutorial are a good way of finding your feet, but you can always ask on here... not sure about green though
