ok here is the image but before that i am really annoyed at how it turned out, i locked myself away for about 4 hours to do this and i feel that the end product looks the same as the photo. I will put the photo in for comparison in a short while. comments please..

Looks to me like you've just 'picturised' the photo in Photoshop or something. The fact that you have the same reflections of the building in the windscreen of the Enzo is a bit of a giveaway.

Also, the EXIF data of the 'painted' image is the same as the photographed - from a Samsung camera.

This other thread from the OP doesn't help the case either.

Car looks good James, but I think you should loose the Porker and just concentrate on the Enzo. Try selecting the glass and blacking it out to loose the reflections.

Good work!

umm no, i used the lasso tool and just got a red paint brush and filled it in. I would love to see what you can do when you 'picturize it' cos i am completetly comfident it won't look like that /

that was for an eye drawing, jeez what is this some kind of trying to make me look stupid? I DID NOT DO IT AUTOMATICALLY!oh and to prove a point two more times, here is a zoomed in bit of the enzo and the posterizd eye which i needed that programme for ;

and if you still dont think i did it by hand then i give up, i know i did it and that is all that matters, if i can't get an opinion from you then i will just ask elsewhere...

and here is a windscreen crop

There's too much detail for it to look painted. My guess is you just painted (kind of traced) on a layer over the photo, then done a save-as so thats why the exif info is the same.

Lose some of the detail, lose the porsche, and change some of the reflections as they dont fit without the background scenery. I'd also round off the front wheel a bit.

I have to say, its very good, you really have to look twice to see it's not a photo, but this is the problem.

It does look like a generated image, if you lose some detail, it'll look more like artwork. Also, dont forget that us lot on here dont have the same hi-res view that you have at home, so things can get distorted.

Edited to add...

I hadnt seen your reply, but that black window doesnt help IMO. Keep some detail, and lose the reflections, it'll work then. With all black, it looks like someone forgot to put the glass in.

Looks much better now James thumbup

Only criticism is that the tyres not being round is a little distracting.

Jeez. No need to get angry, James; by "painting" I understand the things people do with brushes, paint and stuff. In the real world, not in your computer. What you did is modifying a photograph, NOT painting.

I'm afraid you've fallen at the first hurdle - you should have invested more time in carefully selecting the car in the first place. As such its got loads of squared and cropped edges which just ruin it for me. Although I'm still not 100% sure what the objective of the exercise is...

I think your opinion was fine, I could have believed that it was done using artistic tools in PS, I had a 5 minute go to see myself what I could do (quick and for fun so excuse the cropping)

Have to agree with that.

Lot of skill needed with Photoshop undoubtedly, and your last couple of efforts were more what you were aiming for I suspect.

But it isn't painting
