Took this with the idea of a poster on my wall, but cannot seem to find anywhere decent to get a print.

Best price I've found is www.posterxxl.co.uk @ £76.99 for 160 x 120cm.

Any ideas?

p.s And if Mr JP Moser or his employees would like this photo on his website, would you kindly please ASK this time!

have you got a tape measure out and seen how big 160x120 is? its massive!

otherwise, how about contacting all the normal print companies to see what they say? you never know it might just be possible to do a larger print.

nice pic btw!

by the way, do you realise that the aspect ratio of your pic is 3:2 not 4:3?

basically that means that you want the 180x120 cm from the poster xxl site for £87 not the 160x120.

and i assume that you have noticed that they do a 225x150cm for £140?

150cm is the widthest you will have as it is the maximum size that the digitial printer does, but because it prints from roll of paper there is no limit in lenghth, just the ratio of your pic will define it.
if you want bigger, it needs to prints 2 parts and to join them, if done properly it can give perfect result.

Finally received my poster today - what amazing quality!

So, for £46, I can highly recommend www.vinyl-banners.co.uk/poster_printing.html

This was a wall sized poster, no pixelation, absolutely perfect.

Edited to say - printed to your exact dimensions too!!!!! Mine was 106cm x 156cm

Great to have feedback...I've a pic I need doing HUGE, so will contact them.
Couple of questions
1. Did you visit them or just use email?
2. Did they print a small print first to allow you to proof any colour changes etc., before doing the final print?

Cheers,
LB

Hi Luca

It was all done by email. You get an FTP Login and upload the picture - it then says if it's uploaded okay.

However, to be doubly sure I telephoned Geraint in the design department, and asked him to check it wouldn't pixelate at that size - he was very helpful.

They then a proof by PDF for you to approve before printing.

Unless you want up to 5m wide x any length on most substrates

We have the technology, but charge proper prices.........beer

If you want to cover a wall, then digitally printed wallpaper is pretty new and gives stunning results. Remember the quality of the finished work is totally proportional to the artwork printed from and an everyday camera probably won't go much bigger than A1 or maybe A0 before you start to have problems.

For example, how much would a 3m x 2m photo cost? Ballpark.

Thanks

Luca

We have loads of different materials available that effect the cost.

Do you want to hang it on a wall for example?

But a ballpark for a single piece of banner vinyl hemmed and eyeletted £153.00 + VAT & delivery. Bear in mind you can have it printed onto material, mesh, paper, plastic based material etc etc etc

Try me - www.fluid-images.co.uk

I specialise in printing to canvas (I've done lots of work for PHers) but I'll happily quote very competitively for prints onto Fuji's finest gloss photo paper - I can print up to 44" / 1.1 metres for the short length.

Interesting!

There's a poster I found on the web a while ago which shows all F1 cars from 1950-2004. It is 9362 x 6622 in resolution, which would (at 1200 dpi) roughly equate to 200 cm x 160 cm (or am I horribly wrong here). Shipping over the canal would be pretty expensive, wouldn't it?
