Although the journey up there was fantastically clear and I had a great hoon up the As 84,85 & 82 from Stirling to the glen thumbup

After heeding the advice of all and sundry (particularly GC) on the merits of ND grads, I had ordered a basic Lee set but they didn't arrive in time (turns out I entered the wrong expiry date for my switch card banghead ) Still, it's only 2 1/2 hours to go back once I get them and the weather improves a bit, rather than the 8 hours plus it would have been from my old residence

So bracketing was the order of the day. Pretty new to landscape stuff though so some of the merging in photoshop proved a challenge. And the light was fleeting and weak.

I'll stop with the excuses now Using the small/medium versions from my Flickr stream except for the first two cos they look daft that small

Cochil Hills (I think - about an hour out of Stirling and behind me)

Random loch off the A85

The A82

View from the hotel bedroom (Clachaig Inn - excellent little place. Very reasonable too)

Aforementioned hotel (for anyone who knows the area, it's the one that's signposted off the road about a mile after the main bridge that's always being repaired heading east to west)

Waterfalls

Wall

Morning mist

The glen

Usual state of the lens

Quite possibly my favourite place in the World.

The pic looking down to the Clachaig is a familiar site. We usually stick our tent just off the left of that shot.
If anyone gets a chance to drive these roads do it.

Enjoyed the shots Graham.

Slightly more congenial than the Mariners here in Leith

(that 1.8 50 mm is great for low light but wideopen it's an absolute sod to get the focus right. Especially when you've had a few )
