Replacement for a Sony DCR-PC55E camcorder

[art12]

Hi All,
After a break-in my camcorder was one of the items taken, however this model is no longer available & I can't find anything similar having visited a couple of shops.

Does anyone know if something similar is available i.e. very small, with DV in/out?

I've been pointed towards hard-disk camcorders but most of it's life will be spent mounted in a car pointing out of the windscreen - I'd have thought the amount of vibration in a car would render a HD recorder inoperable?

thanks,
AA
