A quick hello

Hey all, as above really.
I have been posting in a lot of the other forums on PH for a few months and decided I'd inflict myself on you guys too!

I used to be into photography in my youth, but that was so long ago I've totally forgotten about f-stops and other stuff, and had an old SLR - Canon Eos 600 if memory serves.
At the moment have only got a compact digicam for taking out etc, but after using it more and more and seeing a thread on here a few days ago have ordered a Fuji S5600 as a bargain more serious camera to see if I start to get more into it while giving me more versatility than my Sony compact will.

I guess I haven't found a 'speciality' yet in terms of subject matter, more of a generalist - read indecisive if you must! - who will take pics of whatever I like the look of.
My biggest lesson learnt to date about digital photography is to always ALWAYS back up your images - discovered when my old desktop lunched the HD and I lost a load of stuff.

I will dig out some of my pics at some point for a good bit of critique, as I'll need it!
