Hi BBB

This is a 'nearly' picture for me. She looks miserable as sin - even more so than you'd expect if your car broke down. Maybe next time have her in a contemplative mood rather than unhappy?

Also, his trainers take too much attention for me, so much so that I'd actually be tempted to landscape crop it - cropping them out.

Aside from the above, I like it

Thanks Andy, I seem to be plagued by unhappy models recently!

yo

Does ayone with an esso can like that wear trainers like that?

Maybe they do and I'm out of the loop! (It has been known)

Great pic otherwise - lens flare works!

I thought that was the new BP logo adding an ironic twist to the scene ...

There's something a little unconvincing about these BBB, and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think its the fact that whilst the girl looks suitably pee'd off, I don't think that the guy looks right just striking his pose. Perhaps he should have been pleading with her to forgive him for wrecking their date even before they got to the Krusty Kreme Donut joint, or at least looking a bit more annoyed / desperate / emotive?? with a bit of oil on his hands / shirt??

I agree with CY on this.

She looks a lot better in the second shot, but he's far from convincing - he looks like he's trying to look like a model, rather than an actor in a piece. He looks like he's trying to grab the attention, rather than simply be part of the piece if you know what I mean?

This would be ok if it was a clothes catalogue shoot, but I'm not sure that was your aim?

Are they professionals, or mates of yours?

They are pros but I wasn't paying, it was TFCD. I find it hard giving direction as most of my best stuff is shot reportage, just trying to push my boundaries a bit.

They are meant to be fashion style shots.

think this one works best for me, he's looking suitably sheepish and she's wondering when she might get home....

might i suggest warming it up a little though, to enhance that americana/retro feel, the light somehow looks quite cool...but i suppose it is december
