you need a multi-shot back mate, set you back about £20K, get that light tent out!
A what? I think my grandfather had one before he died, but he had a collection of walking sticks so life wasnt too bad. You know how it is with old people.

Still reading the article, thanks for the link - Im still not sure how to meter although I understand the concept, but could I meter a subject on a white background (which I want to blow) using the historectomy widgit?andybuk99 said:
i dont know what dslr or p&s you are using but none of the cheapie ones will record decent red's, same as a lot of camcorders. the easy way around it if you have such a problem is to reduce the saturation of the red channel in post processing
Its probably a stupid question, but step by step what should I do?UKBob said:

Its probably a stupid question, but step by step what should I do?One way would be this:
Create a new fill layer
select hue/saturation from the drop down box
in the edit box, select 'reds'
move 'saturation' slider left or right to suit
If you want to change the tone of the red, you can move the 'hue' slider too, although excessive ammounts will change the colour totally.

That is truly interesting. I think I now have a mission for this weekend; try it out and make my own mind up.

Whats a new fill layer though?
Whats a new fill layer though?
In the layers pallete, 4th little icon at the bottom, circle diagonally disected, top half black, bottom white. you can do the same by going into >image>adjustment>hue/saturation, but thats like a one hit effect, if you create a new fill layer then you can go back and adjust later on by double clicking the layer in that pallete.
