Righto, ive jsut acquired a half decent digital, Ive immediately gone out and started messing in full manual mode. I want to go out tomorrow and have some fun witt it, problem being the only usnlight i get to see durign the week is through my window at work.

What makes good subjects at night? Going to take some long exposure stuff, I like this painting with light idea., will take a couple of torches with me.

I have a tripod, and a camera that will go up to 15sec exposure.

Any hints? what settings should I go for as a starter?

I guess im novice, im good at composure etc, and understand what the ISO, aperture, exposure stuff means, just with little practice I have nothing to relate the numbers to.

hm

Urban landscapes, roads with car hadlights/brake lights, sea/river/nigh scapes tho 15 seconds isnt realy long enough for that.
