I see the impreza deems that the engine speed is more important than the speed on the road..

Very nice! I like how 'clean' it looks thumbup

(and yes, many sports cars have the rev counter in the middle)

Or taking up the entire dash, in my case

Very nice mate.

i guess the reason for the rev in the centre as there is more activity with it, making it a more focal point.

Talking of rev-counters, I noticed while taking my Vantage, Volante and Vanguish S AMs out for a spin the other day (in Test Drive Unlimited, sadly ), that the rev counter's the "wrong" way around.

That the case in "real life (TM)"?

It is indeed the case in real life thumbup

Also, true of some of the S6 TVRs that the right dial goes anti-clockwise so that both dials meet in the middle at the top (if you see what I mean).
